The internet remembers everything about you. Most of this industry's business model is to keep that, compound it, and sell it. We started dirigent to do the exact opposite.
We show you what an attacker can already see about you from public data alone โ then hand you a clear, personal plan to take it back. And then we forget you. We don't keep your data, we don't sell it, and we never train on it. That costs us the data asset every competitor is busy building โ which is precisely why you can trust us with the look in the first place.
We think security shouldn't require you to be technical, paranoid, or important. If you're online, you're exposed โ through no fault of your own โ and you deserve to see it as plainly as an attacker would, in language that tells you what to actually do about it.
Targeted attacks used to be expensive. Crafting a convincing, personalised scam meant a skilled human researching one valuable target by hand, so most people simply weren't worth the effort.
AI has erased that limit. Agents can now sweep your public footprint, assemble it into a profile, and write a scam that knows your name, your routines and the people you trust, at a scale that reaches everyone. The old comfort of "I'm not important enough to target" no longer holds.
And these attacks don't look like the clumsy phishing you learned to ignore. They're specific, fluent and personal, which is exactly what makes them work. Law enforcement is already warning about AI-driven fraud, and it only gets cheaper from here.
Checking what's exposed about you should be as ordinary as locking your front door. A quick, routine thing anyone does, not a project for experts.
And we want to prove a company can do this without hoarding you. If a privacy-respecting model works, if people will pay โฌ3 for a report we then delete, it tugs the whole industry a little away from surveillance and toward respect.
It's part of why students get it free. Protection shouldn't hinge on what you can afford, and students are one of the most exposed groups we see: heavy online lives, years of reused logins, and little spare cash to fix it.
If we get it right, fewer people are blindsided by an attack they never saw coming, because they saw it here first.
